It’s been a great summer for our scholarship winners, Junru Huang and J.C. Lee, who completed internships at the Chicago Tribune and WBEZ – 91.5 FM.

Check out Junru’s video piece on the 2013 Chicago International Dragon Boat Festival. She also shot this portrait of British drummer Martin Atkins for the Tribune’s Business section and captured scenes from the Pitchfork Music Festival.

Over at WBEZ, J.C. did pieces on an arts festival in Bridgeport, a motorcycle and scooter rally, a new personal chef service launching in Chicago, and a record number of major studio productions being filmed in the city.
