The Chicago chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association is pleased to sponsor a paid, full-time summer 2023 internship at the Chicago Tribune.
AAJA’s portion of the paid internship is given in honor of chapter co-founder and longtime Chicago Tribune journalist David Ibata for his dedication to empowering the voice of Asian Americans.

All candidates must submit a resume, a cover letter and two to four clips or other work samples.
- Eligible interns are current junior or senior undergraduate students, graduate students or recent college graduates.
- Interns must be student members of AAJA by the time they start the internship (register at aaja.org).
- Ability to live in Chicago in summer 2023.
- Prior work experience is preferred, but not required.
